Built using Zen Cart, this website has a custom zencart template designed by us at the Rainbow Studios Group. The website uses an automated xml feed to poplulate the store with products and updates the stock levels automatically using info from the suppliers website. Feed system created by Paul Campbell.

This site was designed to appeal to a specific target market, this being sci-fi fans. Being a site that sells computer parts and components, a large chunk of that target market are going to be partial to a bit of star trek, hence the borg influence in the design. Green on black, designed to echo a borg control panel, any star trek fan will see the styling cues.

The site also includes two SEO addons aswell as a lighbox addon to bring a slightly better display to the product images. Included is a thumbnailer addon created by Paul Campbell that automatically creates thumbnails of every product image on the site to aid faster loading times, no images are re-scaled, instead this addon creates smaller images automatically and adds a background image behind every product image. This is an addon you will find nowhere else, it is an exclusive Zen Cart addon to The Rainbow Studios Group, as are the xml feed scripts for automated stock control.
